The accused was brought to Kochi by train from New Delhi on Monday morning.

Kochi: The Ernakulam central police will seek the custody of S.N. Krishnan Nair, who was accused of posting a video threatening to kill Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan through the social media, for further inquiry. The accused was brought to Kochi by train from New Delhi on Monday morning. Later, he was produced before the court and remanded in custody. “On a preliminary round of interrogation, the accused confessed that he was drunk while recording the live video,” said circle inspector A. Anandalal, central police station.

However, the Opposition alleged that such a provision amounted to a violation of the rights of individuals over properties. Punishment for illegal wetland filling was also enhanced from two years to three years. During the day, the Assembly also passed the Abkari (Amendment) Bill that provides for enhancing the legal age for alcohol consumption from 21 to 23. An ordinance in this regard was promulgated earlier. The eleventh session of the fourteenth Assembly also adjourned sine die.
