Hyderabad: Speeding claimed the lives of four persons in an accident on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway on Thursday. Police said Pitla Ramesh, 40, his wife Rekha, son Karthik, daughter Vijayadurga and a woman relative, all of them from Suryaraopet in Vijayawada, were travelling in the car being driven by Banerjee.
Near Madhavaram in Munagala mandal in Suryapet district. the driver who was said to be speeding lost control over the vehicle which overturned. Police said Ramesh, his woman relative and the driver died on the spot. Vijayadurga died on her way to a nearby hospital. Rekha and Karthik were shifted to a hospital.
