Hyderabad: Narsingi police are on the lookout of a man who murdered his wife at their residence and fled after the incident on Wednesday. Police said he hit the woman on the neck with a sharp edged weapon which led her to bleed to death.

The deceased, Shaheen Begum, 27, of Gandipet, was married to Md. Ghouse Pasha, 36, alias Shaiku, a hotel employee, Narsingi inspector G.V. Ramana Goud said.

The couple had differences and used to quarrel often. Ghouse had been accusing her of having an extramarital affair. On Wednesday morning the couple again had an argument following which Ghouse picked up a sharp-edged weapon and sliced her throat, police said.

Her brother, Mohd Lateef, found her lying in a pool of blood and called the police. Cops reached the scene along with a Clues Team. The body was shifted for post-mortem and a case was booked under section 302 (murder) of IPC against Ghouse.
