Hyderabad: MANUU Chancellor in soup for using Table tennis player's pics

Hyderabad: Table tennis player Naina Jaiswal’s father Ashwani Kumar lodged a complaint alleging that Maulana Azad National Urdu University Chancellor Firoz Bakht Ahmed had posted her picture while mentioning “anti-national activities”.

In his complaint to the Cyberabad cyber crime police, Mr Kumar alleged that Mr Ahmed had posted a picture of Naina holding a mike along with a post that alleged that “anti-national activities” took place during an event at the university.

Mr Kumar said, “After several requests to remove the picture, the Chancellor failed to do so. As the post on his Facebook wall gives a wrong message and is an attempt to assassinate her character, I approached the cyber crime police who assured a case would be registered.”

Naina and her brother Agastya attended the hostel day on February 16, where she expressed her patriotism and recited from a patriotic song, he said.
