Hyderabad: The Hayatnagar police on Saturday felicitated D. Ashok Kumar and K. Devaiah who helped trace two Class VI students of Word and Deed High School who had gone missing for three weeks.
Epuri Pavan Kumar, 12, and Katika Prabhu, 13, were rescued by the police. The kids had taken shelter in the house of Mr Devaiah in Bandangpet saying they had lost their parents in childhood.
Police meanwhile put up wall posters and distributed pamphlets for the missing kids. Mr Kumar, Mr Devaiah’s friend, came to met him on Friday and identified the boys. They later informed the Meerpet police who informed their counterparts at Hayathagar.
Police rescued the kids and handed them to their parents after counselling.
