Telangana: Realtor murder cracked, 4 held
Hyderabad: Four Gujarat-based industrialists, who were part of a drug mafia which was involved in the brutal murder of a city-based drug manufacturer, Chandrashekar, were nabbed by the Cyberabad police after a four-month long effort.
Around ten persons from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh killed Chandrashekar and buried his body on the outskirts at Ghatkesar in October 2017. It was suspected that Chandr-ashekar’s killers had a grudge against him suspecting that he had tipped of the Central agencies about their illegal drug manufacturing which led to their arrest. They took the help of a city-based trader to contact Chandrashekar and to kill him. In connection with this, four industrialists from Guj-arat have been detained.
Chandrashekar went missing in October and his wife lodged a missing complaint at the Kukatpally police station. Chandrashekar made 14 calls from his phone before he went missing.
The police zeroed in on Matsyagiri from Ghat-kesar, who was also found missing from the day Chandrashekar went missing. Suspe-cting his role, the police kept a watch and nabbed him.
“It is still under inquiry to find out the motive behind the murder. We found that the suspects suffered a huge loss following their arrest in connection with illegal drugs manufacturing,” the police said.
The police exhumed Chandrashekar’s body which was found near Matsyagiri’s house at Ghatkesar and handed it to his family after an autopsy. Chandrashekar from Kurnool district supplied glass to various pharma and chemical companies.
