Hyderabad: A 13-year-old Class IX student was sexually assaulted by her father at their residence in SR Nagar.
The police arrested the 40-year-old man when the girl opened up about the assault to her school teacher, who then informed her mother. The accused has been identified as Mohd Sayeed, who runs a mobile shop at SR Nagar and resides in the locality with his wife and daughter.
“He has sexually assaulted his daughter, on three different occasions so far, when his wife was not around.
On Saturday, the girl shared her plight with one of the teachers at school, who called her mother and told her about the issue,” said SR Nagar police station sub-inspector, D. Gnanender Reddy.
Based on a complaint received by the mother, a case was booked under relevant Sections of the PoCSO (Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences) Act and placed the man under arrest.
