Hyderabad: 20-yr-old gets 10-year rigorous imprisonment for sodomising kid

Hyderabad: A 20-year-old was sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment by judge Suneetha Kunchala by a child friendly court on Thursday for sodomising a six-year-old boy.

As per the prosecution, while the victim was playing near his house, an unidentified person lured him to a nearby hillock and sodomised him and escaped.

According to additional public prosecutor K. Pratap Reddy, the child reached his home and complained to his mother of pain. His mother noticed the bleeding and informed her husband who rushed home from work, and shifted the child to Niloufer Hospital where he was treated.

The father lodged a complaint with Kanchanbagh police who after investigations nabbed Md Afroz Khan, 20, who was also identified by the victim.

First Additional Metrop-olitan Sessions judge Suneetha Kunchala found Md Afroz guilty under the POCSO Act and sentenced him to 10 years rigorous imprisonment. She also imposed a penalty.
