Bengaluru: Central Crime Branch arrests gang of robbers

The police have seized knives, daggers, swords, matchet and a Creta car from the accused.

BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested a gang of robbers, who were conspiring to rob the public in 7th Main Road near Vyalikaval Layout near K G Halli. The gang was also hatching a plan to attack their rivals.

According to police, those arrested persons have been identified as Toufeeq Pasha (29), a resident of Kolar, M D Subhan (31), a resident of Govindapura, Syed Toshir alias Chappadi (23), a resident of Hegdenagar, Rasheed Hafeez (28) and Salman Sheik (28) both residents of Rahmathnagar in RT Nagar, Syed Saleem (30), a resident of Nagawara and Noor Ahmad (25), a resident of Govindapura.

The police have seized knives, daggers, swords, matchet and a Creta car from the accused. A case had been registered in K G Halli police station in this regard.

Accused Taufeeq is a rowdy-sheeter in K G Halli police station. He had 13 criminal cases against him including two cases of murders, attempt to murders in K G Halli, D G Halli and Kudur police stations.

Another accused Subhan is a rowdy-sheeter in R T Nagar police station. There are eight criminal cases against him including two murders, attempt to murder, robbery, assault and for threatening. The raid was conducted under the leadership of ACP SM Nagaraju and inspector M Murugendraiah.
