Secunderabad cops bust attention diversion gang
Hyderabad: A four-member gang from Bihar was arrested by Chilkalguda police for diverting attention and cheating Bihar natives near the Secunderabad railway station. The arrested were identified as Bhuvaneswar Pasman, 28, Shankar Kumar Purvey, 21, Subhash Kumar, 24 and Rambhu, 30, of Sitamarhi district in Bihar. The arrest was made following a complaint from Anil Kumar Patel, a private employee from Ghatkesar and a native of Patna.
“He said that while he was waiting to book his tickets to Patna, the accused approached him at station parking and said they were also travelling to Patna and that their brother worked in the Railways. To confirm his tickets they took him to Sitaphalmandi crossroads in an auto-rickshaw,” said ACP Gopalapuram K. Srinivasa Rao.
One of the men kept his belongings and asked him to go to Sitap-halmandi to meet their brother for ticket confirmation. When he left, the accused fled with his luggage.
