Bengaluru: Pervert blackmails former women colleagues, held
Bengaluru: A pervert who was blackmailing his ex-colleagues for sexual favours or money by threatening to make their revealing photos public has been arrested by the Commercial Street police.
The accused, Narayan Prabhu, was working as a sales manager at Frankfinn Institute on Infantry Road when he befriended two of his woman colleagues, who were interested in ad films.
When the two women shared their dream of becoming models and working in ad films with Narayan, he assured them that he could get them into the field as he knew many influential people in advertising agencies. He asked the women to shoot some revealing photos of themselves as it was mandatory to submit them before auditions, the police said.
He was clever enough not to pressure them for photos, though he desperately wanted to pursue his wicked plan. When the women approached him with the photos, he quit the job, the police said.
That is when troubles started for the two women. Narayan called them up and threatened to leak their photos on social media platforms if they did not fulfil his wish. Narayan asked them for either sexual favours or money.
“After resigning from the job, Narayan called up the women, who answered the calls thinking that he would give them some good news. But they were in for a shock when he started blackmailing them. Besides threatening to leak the photos, he also told them that he would morph their images and send them to their families,” the police said.
Fed up with repeated blackmailing calls, the women approached the Commercial Street police station and lodged a complaint, after which Narayan was arrested.
