Hyderabad: The kidnapped baby boy from Niloufer Hospital was found dead in Nagarkurnool district. The city police came to know that a newborn was buried on Monday. The police, however, is yet to confirm the death.
The police will soon draw a sketch of the woman kidnapper with the help of the auto driver, who informed the police that he dropped the kidnapper at Afzalgunj bus stop on Monday.
The driver also heard the kidnapper saying that she was going to Veldanda mandal in Nagarkurnool district. A special team from the Nampally police has left for Veldanda.
The Nagarkurnool police has been informed about it. A detailed check was conducted on the Hyderabad-Srisailam highway on Tuesday.
The kidnapper’s mother-in-law, Balamma, identified her. When inquired in the village, the police found that a newborn was buried on Monday.
The baby boy of a daily wage worker, who was brought to Niloufer Hospital for treatment, was kidnapped by a lady at 10.40 am.
A senior official said that the alleged kidnapper was picked up in Veldanda mandal.
“She is not able to reveal any details due to the shock. But the locals said that she came to the village on Sunday night with a newborn,” he said.
“The baby was not seen the next day. As per their version, the baby is dead and was buried. It is yet to confirm if the baby is dead. Once the woman becomes normal, we may get a clarity,” the official added.
