26-year-old man ends life over lost cellphone in Jagadgirigutta

HYDERABAD: Nitish Raju, 26, died by suicide after he reportedly lost his mobile phone, which he had recently purchased after taking a loan, Jagadgirigutta police said. He noticed the phone missing while returning from his relative’s house on Saturday evening. He told his friends about the incident and, fearing that his parents would scold him, died by suicide at his house.

Man dupes woman on pretext of providing job, steals valuables:

A man identified as Suribabu duped a woman and looted her gold jewellery at Secunderabad railway station. The suspect befriended the victim during a train journey from Guntur. She told him she faced workplace issues and he offered to help her. A couple of days later, he called her back to Hyderabad, stating that he had found a job for her. When she arrived, he diverted her attention and made off with her jewellery.

Ayurvedic doc held for duping Youth of Rs 50,000:

LB Nagar police booked an Ayurved, Dr Gnaneshwar, for allegedly duping a youngster of Rs 50,000. Instead of providing medicines for headache and neuro-related issues, Gnaneshwar took the money and gave him lemon and ash. He told the victim to return on Amavasya (New Moon Day) and bring some groceries. LB Nagar station house officer B. Anji Reddy said fearing that Gnaneshwar might perform some puja that might create even more harm, the victim complained to the police.

Two guest workers killed, four Injured at construction site:

Two guest workers were killed and four injured in a mishap at a construction site at Mamidipally, Pahadishareef police said. Jagadish B., 40 from Odisha and Tilak Singh, 33, from Uttar Pradesh died on the spot when the slab of the second floor collapsed. Police said Sanjeev Mudiraj, a Mahbubnagar resident, was the landowner and had hired a contractor for the construction work. Pahadishareef SHO K. Satish said police booked a case of death due to negligence. Police said there were no safety measures for the workers
