Police intensify probe into Nizamabad, Kamareddy suicides

HYDERABAD: The Nizamabad police, probing the alleged murder-suicide of an Adilabad-based family on Sunday, has arrived in Hyderabad to nab those accused of abetting the suicide. Realtor Surya Prakash was allegedly assaulted by bouncers sent by his business partners before he reportedly killed his family comprising his wife and two children and died by suicide

Elsewhere, in the self-immolation by a realtor and his mother, the Kamareddy police is awaiting a report from the forensic lab. The incident took place on April 16.

The involvement of political leaders has been established in both cases by the police based on the suicide notes left behind by the victims.

Kamareddy police arrested six persons for harassing the realtor Santosh and his mother, who died by suicide at a hotel on April 16. The involvement of Ramayampet TRS leaders was established in the case. They were arrested and later released on bail.

S.R. Damodar Reddy, Banswada DSP, said that they had sent mobile phones, social media posts, clues, samples and suicide notes to the forensic lab. "We will frame charges based on the lab report, which we are expecting shortly," he said.

In the Nizamabad case, sub-inspector Sandeep, the investigation officer, said the accused were absconding but police had information that they were hiding in Hyderabad.

Three persons with political links had indulged in harassing Surya Prakash and his family members over financial issues, police said.
