Telugu Film Producers Council to issue show cause to Natti Kumar

This is not the first time that Mr Natti Kumar has hurled accusations at the Telugu film industry.

Hyderabad: The Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) on Wednesday reacted strongly to the recent accusations made by producer Mr Natti Kumar about film industry insiders and politicians having connections with slain gangster Nayeemuddin.

TFPC president Mr Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna said the council would now issue a show cause notice to Mr Kumar asking why he shouldn’t be expelled from the council.

“The accusations are false,” said Mr Sivaramakrishna. He added that Mr Kumar was doing it just for publicity. “If he has any proof he can directly go to the cops. It’s not right on his part to target a few people personally,” added Mr Sivarama-krishna.

Producer Mr Ashok Kumar meanwhile, has said that he would take legal action against Mr Natti Kumar. “I have been personally hurt by his accusations. My family suffered a lot due to this and I am going to file a defamation case against him,” he said.

This is not the first time that Mr Natti Kumar has hurled accusations at the Telugu film industry. “Whenever elections are held and he loses, he always starts mudslinging,” Mr Kumar added.

Apart from the council, Mr Sivaramakrishna said he would be filing a deformation case against Mr Natti Kumar personally too.

Mr Natti Kumar had earlier accused a few industry people in the Bhanu Kiran case, but the court had dismissed his allegations. Why didn’t the council take action at that time against him? Mr Sivaramakrishna said, "There were so many issues in the last few years and most of them we tried to solve amicably.”
