Two women, man held by Rachakonda police for robbing
Hyderabad: Rachakonda police nabbed a three-member gang of robbers including two women who targeted people at nights and robbed cash and valuables from them. Police recovered property worth around Rs 1 lakh from their possession. The suspects were identified as B. Bharath Kumar, 24, an auto driver, A. Rama, 26, and Zaheera Fathima, 22, both daily wage earners.
According to police, the women were earlier involved in prostitution but they could not support their families. Later with Bharath’s help, they decided to target commuters at night in isolated locations in Saroornagar, Chaitanyapuri areas.
They attacked biker and robbed a smartphone from him and from another person, they took away cash in Saroor nagar.
They also targeted a car and robbed Rs 10,000 cash from the driver and a smart phone from him. In LB nagar, they robbed a tab and a smartphone from another person.
On Monday, during vehicle checking, police intercepted them and on inquiry, it was found that the trio were involved in robberies. They were arrested and sent to remand.
