The cause of death of the minor however, still remains to be established and officials stated that they are investigating the case.

Hyderabad: The 30-year-old uncle who married his 17-year-old relative was traced in Filmnagar on Sunday by the Miyapur police. According to sources Babu, 30, was picked up in the evening from his hideout and will be produced before the court on Monday.

The cause of death of the minor however, still remains to be established and officials stated that they are investigating the case.

On Thursday, the minor committed suicide at her residence in Miyapur, after her uncle forcefully married her a few days ago. Babu went to the minor's home when she was alone and married her by tying the mangalsutra (yellow thread). According to officials, Babu uploaded the ‘wedding pictures’ on social media which forced the minor to kill herself.

Sunkamma, the minor's mother lodged a complaint saying that Babu had proposed to his daughter in the past as well, to which she refused. She also accused Babu of troubling the minor and forcefully marrying her when she and her son had gone out for work. Officials also said that the marriage was consummated by Babu, which makes him liable to be booked under charges of rape.

The mother of the deceased found her body hanging at her residence on Thursday when she came back from work and alerted the cops.

However, according to sources, the minor was in love with Babu and was willing to tie the knot with him. But, her mother and brother did not approve of her marriage and were forcing her to sever all ties with him. Following this, she committed suicide, as she wanted to stay with him.

Babu has a criminal case against him under Sections 304 (a) (causing death by negligence), 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC.
