The accused G. Giridhar Reddy, a private company employee from Suryapet, took the victim’s email ID and credit card details when he met her.
He downloaded images of the victim from social media, morphed them to make them appear indecent and began blackmailing her over email. He demanded that she should visit him in his room, and threatened her with dire consequences otherwise.
Hyderabad: A 28-year-old man was nabbed by the She teams for blackmailing a woman with morphed pictures and attempting to exploit her sexually. The local court sentenced the accused to two days of imprisonment on Friday.
Police said, the accused G. Giridhar Reddy, a private company employee from Suryapet, took the victim’s email ID and credit card details when he met her. Thereafter, he downloaded images of the victim from social media, morphed them to make them appear indecent and began blackmailing her over email. He demanded that she should visit him in his room, and threatened her with dire consequences otherwise.
Based on the complaint received from the victim, the She team registered a case and the accused was sent to jail.
