Hyderabad: Balanagar police arrested a 28-year-old housewife and her lover on Monday for allegedly murdering her husband. M. Devi and M. Amarender smothered Devi’s husband Ramesh with a pillow when he caught them red handed. On March 20, police got information that one M. Ramesh, an LIC agent, hanged himself to death at home. Based on his mother M. Krishna Kumari's complaint, police registered a suspicious death case. The autopsy report revealed that Ramesh was smothered to death and police altered case to murder.
Police found Ramesh’s wife’s movements suspicious. On Monday when they picked her up for questioning she confessed to killing her husband with the help of lover Amarender. “She met her lover a few months ago. Her husband came to know of this and warned them but they did not change. They killed him and tried to make it a suicide,” Balanagar ACP T. Goverdhan said. Police arrested Devi and Amarender and remanded them.
