Hyderabad: Reportedly humiliated with her neighbour’s attempt to barge into her house during night hours, a woman from Hayathnagar immolated herself using kerosene on Saturday night.
The woman, who had complained about the incident to the house owner, committed suicide only minutes after by immolating herself, police said.
According to the cops, the couple K. Ramesh Reddy, an RTC driver, and his wife, K Prasanthi (24), were living in a rented house at Pavangiri Colony.
At around 9 pm on Saturday, Naresh, a mason and neighbour of Ramesh, knocked the latter’s door. As Ramesh was not in the home, Prasanthi opened the door, and Naresh, who was in a drunken condition walked-in. In the meantime, Naresh’s wife saw this and questioned Prasanthi about her husband’s presence in her house. Felt humiliated, Prasanthi sent her kids out and set herself ablaze.
