Hyderabad: Out on bail actor held for pub rage
Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Nanduri Uday Kumar was arrested by Jubilee Hills Police on Thursday.
According to sources, Uday Kumar caused a ruckus after he was denied entry into the Daspalla hotel in the city. A furious Uday damaged the windshield of a nearby car and broke the window panes of the hotel.
Uday Kiran, a native of Kakinada, was arrested earlier in a drugs case in 2014 and for harassing a woman nearly five months ago in Hyderabad. He is also accused in as many as seven cases in Kakinada and is out on a conditional bail. He even has a history sheet against him at Kakinada CCS Police station. Nanduri Uday Kiran alias Bobby alias Tappudu 31, is known for his roles in movies such as Facebook and Parare.
Cops say that on Wednesday night, around 11.30 pm, Uday arrived at the Daspalla Hotel, Jubilee Hills drunk. When staff noticed his condition they denied him entry. An argument ensued. “He then damaged the windshield of a car parked on the premises and broke glass panes of the hotel.” Inspector S. Venkat Reddy said. Based on a complaint from the hotel’s staff, a case was registered and Uday Kiran was arrested.
