Hyderabad: DRI seizes 4kg gold

In another case, DRI officials found that a passenger from Dubai had stuffed 928 gm of gold.

Hyderabad: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence seized 4,083.46 grams of smuggled gold worth Rs 1.66 crore and arrested four persons.

In the first case, on a tip-off, DRI officials searched an Air India flight from Dubai and found 850.98 gm of gold biscuits hidden in a tube beneath a seat.

Then, a passenger from Muscat was found carrying 700 gm of gold inside the transformer of a microwave oven.

In another case, DRI officials found that a passenger from Dubai had stuffed 928 gm of gold.

Later, they found two passengers from Saudi Arabia, one with 797.24 gm of gold paste in his rectum and another with 817.24 gm.
