ANANTAPUR: A man hacked his wife and two children at his residence in Payilakuntla village under B. Kodur police station limits in Kadapa district in the wee hours of Monday. The man reportedly was suspecting that his wife had extra marital affair. Sources said K. Ramana Reddy,35, got married to Lakshmi Priya four years back. The couple had two children, Sai Srilatha, 2, and Munna, 1.
Suspecting extramarital affair, the man who was also addicted to liquor would quarrel with his wife every day. On Sunday night, the couple quarrelled over the affair. Ramana Reddy, in a drunken state, hacked his wife, daughter and son with an axe. After killing them, Ramana Reddy fled from the spot. Villagers noticed the bodies of in pools of blood and informed the police. The bodies were shifted for post mortem. Police launched a manhunt for the culprit.
