City police narcotics enforcement wing arrests Goa-based drug peddler

HYDERABAD: The city police Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) said they arrested a Goa-based drug peddler, John Stephen D’Souza alias Steeve, for the drug busted in August and brought him to the city on Friday. Steeve reportedly owns a hotel in Goa where he holds parties where narcotices are supplied.

In August, H-NEW arrested a drug peddler, Priteesh Narayan Borkar. Police found that Borkar along with one Manzoor Ahmed were procuring drugs from Steeve and his associates. Based on the clues, Steeve was apprehended in Goa two days ago.

When he was produced in a Goa court for transit remand, he claimed that he was sick. After he recovered the H NEW moved the court with his medical reports, obtained his transit warrant and brought him to the city.

In another case, H-NEW nabbed an African national, Anthony Boateng Amihere, and his associate D. Sumanth at Langar Houz and seized 17 grams of MDMA from them.
