Parking row: HAL employee assaulted by 3 miscreants
Bengaluru: A group of armed men attacked two people, including an employee of HAL, over parking row in Kadugodi on Sunday afternoon.
Tension gripped the area, as the attack happened in broad daylight and the attackers had used lethal weapons like machete.
Local residents alerted the police control room and rushed the injured men to a private hospital. The suspects have been identified as Azam, Shabbir and Saleem.
The victims are identified as Gajendra Singh, (54), an HAL employee and his friend Lakshmish,(58), a farmer, both residents of Belathur Colony in Kadugodi.
The police said that around 2.30 pm Azam, Shabir and Saleem picked up a quarrel with Singh after he had parked his car in front of his house and they objected it.
Probe reveals that in a fit of rage three of them attacked him with a machete and Lakshmish, who rushed for Singh's help, was also attacked.
On receiving an alert the Kadugodi police rushed to the spot, but the accused fled, leaving the weapons on the spot, police said.
The police seized the weapons and after gathering information of the attackers, two of them were immediately nabbed. Azam is still at large.
