Hyderabad: The bodies of a woman and her 30-month-old son were found dead at their house in Vinayaknagar, Filmnagar, in the early hours of Saturday. Filmnagar police suspect that the victim, Kaveti Srisha, killed her son Tanish and then died by suicide at about 1.20 am.
The victim’s neighbour P. Susheela told the police that she had heard Sirisha and her husband K. Vishwanath arguing at about 1.10 am. She called the police who found the bodies. Police took Vishwanath, a driver, into custody.
Police said Vishwanath had borrowed ₹9 lakh and brought a vehicle and was harassing his wife for additional dowry to repay the loan, Filmnagar sub inspector Satish Kumar said. Sirisha’s father had borrowed ₹2.5 lakh and gave the money to Vishwanath to clear his loan two weeks ago, police said.
