“This story is a fabrication” -- Bar Council member Muppala Subbarao

KAKINADA: The AP Bar Council member Muppalla Subba Rao has said the confession statement of MLC Ananta Babu was a fabrication and Subrahmanyam died because of the blows inflicted by the MLC.

“If the blows had been inflicted the after the death of Subrahmanyam, there would not have been a blood clotting. The post mortem report states that Subrhamanyam died because of injuries inflicted on him while he was alive. Therefore, the police story based on the MLC’s confession can’t be trusted.”

He said the police have not made any inquiry into the case and the cops only released the confession statement of the accused MLC. They are trying to dilute the case and protect the MLC, he alleged.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning, the Left parties staged a Rasta Roko agitation at Ambedkar Statue near Indrapalem bridge, demanding that the government sack the YSRC MLC from the Legislative Council. They said the Governor should intervene and take stringent action against the MLC

BJP Amalapuram district president Ayyaji Vema who staged a dharna in front of the collector’s office at Kakinada, along with BJP activists, demanded that the government transfer the SP from the district.
