Hyderabad: The police arrested four teenagers for burgling houses and seized 11 tolas of gold, two diamonds, a bike and a laptop from them. The value of the seized goods is around Rs 5 lakh. The arrested teens are aged between 14 and 17 years.
Two of them became friends at an observation home and after release, they planned thefts and roped in the other two also to execute their plan. “They burgled houses in Gopalapuram, Punjagutta, Saroornagar and Yadagirigutta,” said DCP B. Sumathi.
On Tuesday, after receiving credible information, Gopalapuram police apprehended the mastermind at Ambedkar Nagar and on interrogation he admitted the thefts.
Based on his confession the other three were taken into custody. The stolen property was recovered from them. The gang is likely to be sent to judicial custody.
