Hyderabad: 2 siblings injured in accident

Sultan Bazaar police booked a case against the truck driver under Section 338 (inflicting serious injuries) and arrested him.

Hyderabad: Two siblings were injured when a lorry hit their bike on Monday night near Koti Women’s College.

Police said the girls, K. Chandrika, 22, and K. Nandini, 17, were taking a right turn on their bike when a rashly driven truck hit their vehicle, injuring them.

“The accident occurred at around 10 pm on Monday. We found that the driver was not drunk,” said the Sultan Bazaar police station SI K. Krishna Prasad.

The siblings were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and based on a complaint from their father, Laxman, a provision shop owner, Sultan Bazaar police booked a case against the truck driver under Section 338 (inflicting serious injuries) and arrested him.
