Hyderabad: A twentyone-year-old youth was beaten up by his elder brother and cousins for allegedly passing derogatory comments against his brother’s wife on Sunday.
“The elder brother, Mohd Yusuf, took his two cousins to his younger brother, Jafar, and assaulted him at their residence on Sunday. Yusuf alleged that Jaffar spoke something bad against his wife. Yusuf also said that Jafar has been acting funny for the past few days,” said inspector of police at Kalapathar, Rudrabhasker.
Jaffar approached the police and lodged a complaint against Yusuf and his two cousins, alleging that they accused him of performing black magic and hit him on his head, causing a deep cut.
Based on the complaint, Kalapathar police booked a case against the trio under section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of IPC and took them into custody.
