Bengaluru: A day after rowdy and former corporator Bomb Naga made a series of allegations against unnamed IPS officers and other policemen, the police are reportedly contemplating taking up a suo motu case against him for making derogatory statements.

Naga, in a video released on Saturday, had alleged that Hennur police station inspector Srinivas filed a false case of kidnap and extortion against him. Further, he had abused the officer in filthy language. Following this, it is learnt that the police have decided to take up a case against Naga for his derogatory remarks against the inspector.

“Making allegations is a different thing, but he used several words which are absolutely in bad taste and derogatory in nature. We are thinking of taking up a case against the elusive rowdy. Senior police officers and legal experts are in talks. We will ask Mr Srinivas to register the case against Naga at the Hennur police station. In a day or two, a fresh case will be filed against Naga,” a senior police officer said.

The police are likely to book Naga under Sections 189 (threat of injury to public servant), 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory) and other sections of the IPC, for the statements he made.

Naga extorted Rs 5 crore from garage owner
Former corporator and rowdy V. Nagaraj alias Bomb Naga is in more trouble with another case of extortion being filed against him at the Srirampura police station.

A realtor has alleged that Naga, who allegedly promised to convert black money into white, extorted Rs 5 crore from him. Arun, who also runs a garage in Srirampura, filed the complaint on Saturday night. He alleged that Naga extorted him in January this year.

The complaint states that when Arun went to Naga’s house with cash, Naga and his associates threatened him with a machete and other lethal weapons. Naga allegedly robbed Rs 5 crore from Arun before freeing him. “We have registered a case and are investigating,” the police said.
