Anantapur: In barbaric incident, a person slit the throat of his lover to death and also made suicide attempt in a similar way at Kadiri in the district. Police sources said K. Bharati, 30, of Murthynagar area in Kadiri had an extra-marital affair with G. Sudhakar of the same area. Sudhakar had gone to Bharati's residence on Tuesday night noticed she was closely moving with another person.
Angered Sudhakar hatched a plan to eliminate his lover for cheating him and had affair with another person. Sudhakar went to her house late on Tuesday when her husband went to attend Brahmotsavam celebrations of Narasimhaswamy temple. He slit her throat and killed her on the spot. Later, Sudhakar had also made suicide attempt by slitting his throat.
Locals noticed Sudhakar in an unconscious state and shifted him to Kadiri hospital and he was later referred to general hospital at Anantapur. Kadiri town police registered case.
