Hyderabad: Bachupally Police arrested three persons, including a former corporator, involved in the major land scam valued at '100 crore.
The prime suspect Chandraiah Yadav was absconding. The arrested were identified as former corporator Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suresh Reddy, Saibaba and Murali Krishna, both contract employees at Medchal Sub-Registrar’s office.
The scam came to light three days ago, after the one Damodar Rao from Kukatpally the original land owner of 32 acres at Bachupally village found his land encroached and all records in the sub- registrar’s office were replaced. He approached the police who found that along with the main suspect Chandraiah Yadav, the others had created forged documents and had replaced them with the original documents in the records.
