Bengaluru: Robbers broke a car window and escaped with a suitcase in Gandhinagar on Monday evening. The suitcase also had a licensed gun with six live cartridges, which were found abandoned in a pile of trash near Kalasipalya later in the night. The suitcase belonged to Rehman, 66, a timber merchant from Hassan.
He had parked his car near Gandhinagar National Market and gone for shopping. He had left his suitcase in the backseat of the car. Around 5.30 pm, a few robbers broke the car window and escaped with the suitcase. Rehman immediately filed a complaint with the Upparpet police.Passersby found the gun in the trash pile around 8.30 pm and informed the police.
