Nizamabad: 1.5 kg gold ornaments stolen from parked car

Nizamabad: One-and-a-half kg of gold ornaments were stolen from a parked car in Armoor on Friday evening.

According to sources, Dr. Pawar Eshwar Chandra had taken the gold ornaments from his locker in the Armoor Cooperative Bank and kept them in a bag in his car.

Before reaching home in Mahalaxmi Colony, he visited the Mahalaxmi Temple and performed pujas. When he returned from the temple, he noticed that the bag of gold had gone missing from the car.

Dr. Eshwar Chandra immediately informed Armoor police.

Additional deputy commissioner of police S. Jayaram visited the spot and inquired about the incident.

Dr. Eshwar Chandra has retired from the department of medical and health and runs a clinic near the old police station in Armoor.

Police have registered a case and are investigating.
