Hyderabad: A person died in a road accident after being hit by a two-wheeler on Wednesday evening.
The Rajendranagar police have identified the deceased as Khaja Sarwar Ahmed Ansari, 50.
According to the police, the victim was hit by a two-wheeler while he was crossing the road at around 7 pm.
Rajendranagar sub-inspector of police, G. Pavan Kumar said, “A two-wheeler vehicle hit the victim and fled from the scene. According to eye witnesses, the rider was riding in a rash and negligent manner.”
Passersby shifted the victim to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead. The police have arrested the rider Parvez. and registered a case under Section 304 (a) for further investigation. Police handed over the dead to family members after the post-mortem at Osmania General Hospital.
