Alappuzha: The police team lead by district police chief has arrested one more person in connection with twin murder case .The arrested, identified as Babychan, 60, was held on Tuesday. He was serving as action council secretary formed following the murder. The police on Monday had arrested Edathua residents Mobin Mathew alias Manu (25) and his cousin Jeffin Joseph, 27, on murder charges. Babychan is the father of Jeffin. Mobin had killed his friends Madhu (40) and Linto alias Varghese Ouseph (26), after making them consume drugs and alcohol.
Mobin admitted that he and Linto had killed Madhu after watching the film Drishyam 17 times. Later, Mobin killed Linto with the help of Jeffin to cover up the Madhu murder. Though Mobin's father Mathew was also found involved in the crime, he left for Dubai after the crime. The steps for extradition is underway, said district police chief K Surendran.
