Hyderabad: N. Parvathamma, 85, from Suraram committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence on Tuesday night.
According to the police,the victim was abandoned by her husband and was living with her brother’s son.
“On Tuesday, around 11 am, her nephew with his family had gone to visit his sister-in-law at a hospital. When they returned at night, they found the woman hanging in her room,” the SI said.
He added that two years ago, the victim had fallen from the bus footboard which caused her a hip fracture. Since then, she has been doing her daily chores by using a walking aid.
In another incident, a 27-year-old private employee hanged himself from the ceiling of his home at RGK Nizampet on Tuesday night. The victim, identified as B. Narsanna, committed suicide as he was unable to meet his ends due to financial crisis.
