According to Cherala sub-inspector Ravinder, two petty businessmen — G. Rajesh and Ajit M., were arrested near Taliperu, on the TS-Chhattisgarh border.
“They were given old currency by Naxals and had gone to Hyderabad where they bought jungle boots and other articles for Maoists. They were unable to exchange Rs 70,000 in demonetised currency with new notes. We recovered the cash,” the SI said.

They had reached AP to give the money to a trader at huge commission. In Rajasthan, two persons were arrested with demonetised currency notes of Rs 1,000 worth Rs 8 lakh at Kota railway station.
