Hyderabad: 4 including a juvenile held for robbery
Hyderabad: A 43-year-old man, his brother and a juvenile boy were apprehended by the Rachakonda police for their involvement in a robbery and attempt-to-murder case at Choutuppal. The police recovered eight tola gold, five bikes, a TV and a mixer from them.
The accused were involved in 17 offences and conducted a recce at seven places, said Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat. The commissioner said, “Mohammed Shareef, 43, has six brothers and four sisters. He is the second eldest among 10 siblings and does petty work,” he said.
“Except one, all other brothers were involved in property offences and were arrested earlier. Altogether they have committed as many as 70 offences,” he added.
“Shareef and the juvenile boy were involved in 17 cases since January this year under various police stations. They were apprehended by the Choutuppal police and that helped prevent offences. They already conducted a recce at Chityal, Choutuppal, Neredmet, Kothur and Palamakula villages, Meerpet and Chaitanyapuri police station limits,” he said.
The accused have been remanded to judicial custody, the commissioner added.
