Hyderabad: 1 killed, 3 injured in clash between two groups
Hyderabad: A 29-year-old man was killed and three others received injuries in a clash between two groups at a house in Jawaharnagar on Sunday night,
According to the police, Vikas, Vicky and Vikram, are three siblings who went with their mother Jaikumar Meerabai to immerse Goddess Durga idol at Yapral lake. After attending the event, Vikram and Meerabai went home but Vikas and Vicky stayed back.
Jawaharnagar inspector R. Saidulu said that at about 1.30 am on Monday when Meerabai called her son Vikas and asked why he did not reach home yet, she was told that there was a fight outside Shravan’s house, who was calling and troubling Vicky’s wife Shalini.
“During the fight, Shravan reportedly picked up a knife and stabbed Vicky and injured Vikas and their friend Krishna. When Meerabai reached the spot, she found her son with stab injuries and shifted him to Poulomi Hospital in Dr AS Rao Nagar, where the doctors declared Vicky brought dead. The other two injured were admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad for treatment,” said inspector Saidulu.
The inspector said that based on a complaint from Meerabai, a case has been registered against Shravan under Section 302 and 307 of IPC, and a team is searching for the accused.
