Chandrabose murder case convict Mohammed Nisham threatens to kill brothers from jail
THRISSUR: Two siblings of Mohammed Nisham, the life convict in the Chandrabose murder case, have alleged that Nisham had been making threat calls to the partners of their family business, including two of them, from the Kannur central jail.
Nisham's brothers, Adakkaparambil Abdul Rasak and Abdul Nisar, filed a complaint before the superintendent of Thrissur rural police, R. Nishanthini, on Friday saying that they feared for their life and needed police protection.
They said that when they met Nisham in the jail on August 11, he threatened them that if they did not hand over the profit from the business for his legal expense, they would be finished off by using the convicts in the T.P. Chandrasekaran murder case.
Nisham also regularly calls the workers of the beedi making firm 'King' at Tirunelveli and other business partners creating impediments in the smooth running of the family business, the complaint said. They said that Nisham was leading a luxurious life by bribing the officials in the central jail.
On Thursday, while Nisham was being taken to Bengaluru in connection with an attempted murder case, he was accompanied by his manger Ratheesh and friend Shibin aka Chimbuttan, the complaint said. On the same day, the two siblings received four calls from Nisham between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. from Shibin's phone.
Nisar told DC that they were summoned by the officials of the Rural SP office on Saturday evening and promised police protection.
