Vijayawada: A man was arrested on charges of harassing a woman in Ongole on Monday evening. The accused, Chandrasekhar, had previously worked as a teacher in the same school as the victim.
According to the Disha police, Chandrasekhar had been harassing the woman by showing her photos and call data that they had taken while working together. He was also blackmailing her.
The woman had previously threatened to file a police complaint and inform her husband about the harassment, but Chandrasekhar had continued.
On Monday evening, when the woman was going home, Chandrasekhar stalked her. She alerted the Disha police, who arrived in six minutes and arrested him.
A case has been registered against Chandrasekhar under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. He has been remanded in judicial custody.
