Lynching case as a result of alleged suicide of Sk. Jasmine: Four arrested
GUNTUR: Four persons were arrested by the police in the Adavuladeevi lynching case as a result of alleged suicide of Sk. Jasmine. The police arrested Jasmine’s relatives Sk. Shadulla, Abdul Gouse, Zaibunnisa and Sk. Fazal. The police said that investigation is under progress about involvement of another 21 persons in the lynching case. The locals of Mohammadiyapalem in Adavuladeevi brutally beaten V. Srisai and J. Pavan Kumar when the two came to rescue Sk. Jasmine from suicide attempt on July 17. Later, Srisai died due to serious physical injuries on July 17 night. Circle-inspector D. Penchala Reddy said that the police identified 25 persons responsible for the lynching incident and presently arrested four persons, including Jasmine’s brother Sk. Shadulla and uncle Abdul Gouse.
He said that cases were registered against the accused under Sections 302, 307 and 342. He said that similarly, investigation is under progress about the alleged suicide of Jasmine and the police will arrest those found guilty and those responsible for the death of Jasmine. He said that the police are waiting for the postmortem report and will speed up the investigation on the basis of autopsy report.
