Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police detained four persons under the Preventive Detention Act after a drive against repeat offenders. Those arrested were Shaik Khadar from Kompally, Bandari Ashok from Mahbubabad, Shaik Khayyum and Shaik Ajju from Nirmal district.
Police said Khadar, Khayyum and Ajju are brothers and Ashok is their associate. The four were accused of stealing from wine shops and ATMs. Police said that they would travel on motorbikes to identify easy targets. They used crowbars, hammers and gas cutters. They failed to rob any ATM but damaged CCTV cameras.
