Bengaluru: Four Bangladeshi nationals held for murder

The accused allegedly brought Bangladeshi girls to Bengaluru illegally and pushed them to prostitution for their livelihood.

Bengaluru: Hennur police have arrested four Bangladesh nationals and cracked a murder case that was reported a year ago in Nelamangala police station limits.

The accused have been identified as Obimulla, 26, a resident of Madanayanakanahalli, Moin Khan, 26, of Koramangala, Rakheemulla alias Raqib, 33, of Koramangala, and Mohammed Khislu, 35, of Sunkadakatte.

Police said the four persons were found moving around suspiciously near Agara lake during night patrolling and they were picked up for questioning. When they were thoroughly grilled, they reportedly confessed to a murder case in which another Bangladesh national was murdered.

“On July 11, 2016, a person was found murdered in Vajarahalli in Nelamangala police station limits. Imrul Chowdhuri, a Bangladeshi, was smothered to death at his rented house. The accused confessed that they were running a prostitution racket and they murdered Chowdhuri over a dispute related to sharing the money they got from the racket. Further, they revealed that they were illegal immigrants and had first stayed in Kolkata before moving to Benglauru. They were staying in Vartur, Gunjur and Kadugodi earlier and had also got fake Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID and other ID cards by providing fake documents from one Janardhan Reddy of R.T. Nagar,” the police said.

The accused allegedly brought Bangladeshi girls to Bengaluru illegally and pushed them to prostitution for their livelihood.
