Hyderabad: Moula Ali GHMC corporator Mumtaz Fatima’s husband Ameenuddin has been booked for assault and threatening a person during a protest last Friday.
Ameenuddin and his men had allegedly abused and assaulted residents who were protesting against the failure of government to keep its promises. Malkajgiri police also booked a case of creating public nuisance against the protestors. Both cases are under investigation.
Immad Maqsusi (26), a social worker and one of the protesters claimed that the residents of Subash Nagar under Malkajgiri Police station limits were facing problems due to poor sewage management and bad roads. “Shockingly they also booked a petty case against me” added Maqsusi.
“The cases are under investigation. Based on the evidence, we will proceed.” a police official said.
