Tahsildar terminated from services
ANANTAPUR: A tahsildar of Atlur mandal was terminated from services in connection with irregularities proved over illicit transfer of DKT lands during 2015-17.
Sources said Eeswaraiah had worked as tahsildar in Atlur mandal in between 2015-17. At present, he is on deputation in Veeranayunipalle in YSR district. Then collector of Kadapa district suspended the revenue official over allegations of change of documents of DKT lands in large scale. The tahsildar allegedly involved in tampering of revenue records pertaining to government lands worth crores of rupees.
The official reportedly collided with the politicians in the Atlur mandal and also several district level leaders. The government lands were transfered in the name of several political leaders and also got more than hundred acres of land in the name of his wife. Presently, the DKT lands transferred to leaders and himself were about Rs 100 crore in the open market.
A probe was held against the Tahsildar by a deputy collector over the large scale irregularities. The allegations against the Tahsildar were proved. During inquiry, the revenue official had reportedly sought apology as the mistake occurred due to lack of computer knowledge.The inquiry report was submitted to the CCLA.
The CCLA secretary Babu issued orders of termination of the tahsildar after charges proved against him.
