Bengaluru: Man shows banner in court, warned

He said that he was holding up the banner in the court as the police too did not take any action.

BENGALURU: In an unusual event that took everyone by surprise, including the division bench of the High Court headed by acting Chief Justice S.K. Mukherjee, a man claiming to be a social activist held a banner saying 'down down green mafia' inside the court hall number one while the proceedings were on.

The man, S. Anand, claimed that he had recently visited the High Court to file a public interest petition against 108 Ambulance services, and court officials told him that the petition had to be filed in green ledger paper and not in white paper.
Anand filed a complaint with the Vidhana Soudha police through post.

On Monday, he said that he was holding up the banner in the court as the police too did not take any action. The police took Anand before High Court Registrar General Michael D’Cunha, who let him off with a stern warning.
