Hyderabad: 2 men held with 3kg of contraband

Basing on a tip off, the duo were caught trying to sell ganja near the Gandhi Statue at the Chandanagar bus stop.

Hyderabad: The Chandanagar Police arrested two men in possession of three kg of ganja on Monday night. The arrested were identified as Allauddin, 32, and Saleem Iqbal Khazee, 57, both auto drivers by profession, a police official said.

“Basing on a tip off, the duo were caught trying to sell ganja near the Gandhi Statue at the Chandanagar bus stop. We seized the contraband, three cell phones and Rs 5,000 from their possession,” said police inspector, Chandanagar, B. Ravinder.

The stash was imported by Allauddin from an unidentified person of Narayankhed thanda in Sangareddy district. A case was registered under relevant sections and further efforts are on to apprehend the supplier.
